When I first found out about HILD I thought it was realy cool and a great idea. But I have only had about one or two LD's since I have joined this site. Last night I think I fell asleep about half way through the HILD. But most of the time when I am finished and extremely relaxed it dosent usually work. Is there a way I can make them work so i can have a LD more offen?
When I was first playing around with different induction techniques I had a similar problem, I found using the HILD technique more effective if you use it in combination with the WBTB method. If you've had slightly less sleep than you usually get you shouldn't have any problem falling back asleepas yuo'll still be tired, plus you're more likely to go straight (or very quickly) into the REM period of sleep while the hypnotic intention is still fresh in your mind.
