Getting ready for some lucid dreams

Hi, i'm new to this site, and i have already been getting ready to have some lucid dreams. I just started a dream journal today; i almost had a wild the other day in the afternoon but i could not become lucid, because i was too wrapped up in my dreams. That's my biggest problem, getting to caught up in my dreams and not doing reality checks while in them, therefore, not becoming lucid.

I guess this is due to poor dream control, which is one of the main things i want to learn here. Tonight, if my alarm clock wakes me up, i'm going for a wild, my problem is, is that, when i wake up at 3 am, i like to stay up, therefore preventing myself from having a wild.I haven't had a lucid dream in years! So hopefully tomorrow morning, will be my first in years, have a good night everybody!
