this is amazing brahs
im not really new to lucid dreaming, but im new to actually trying to attain it on purpose.
ive only done it once, when i was like 10, and i didnt even know what it was called. i just knew that i could "wish" for things in my dream if i knew i was dreaming lol
but now, like 8 years later, i know its a real thing, lucid dreaming. i realize the potential of lucid dreaming and how fucking amazing this shit is.
ive been talking about lucid dreaming to friends and family recently, and it sucks because theyre mostly not interested at all.
ive been doing reality checks a lot and i know im going to go lucid soon
lets gooooooooo. so many things i wanna do.
destroy a planet with a kamehameha, talk to my subconsious, ohmygod i cant wait
i can just never understand how the whole world isnt into this.. its fking crazy... a whole different world where ANYTHING is possible. wow

Most people are content with what they already know and don't actively seek out new info. Its a shame. On a more positive note, welcome. Talking to your subconscious is often an interesting experience, so I hope it all goes well.

It does freak me out that everyone else wasn't completely thrilled when they heard about it. :P it is the highest form of art. ;)
Good luck getting lucid. Sounds like you got the right mindset. If you have any questions, just ask.

Many people don't even know they can control their dreams. Some people are unfortunate enough that they cannot remember any of their dreams. This is awesome stuff. Its not easy though, which may deter some people. When describing lucid dreaming to people I sometimes get questions like "why would you try so hard for that? Where's the benefit?" Well.. it's cool... and for me its part of larger philosophical theory of mind which results in the conclusion that I have control over my own experiences, asleep or awake. It's pretty empowering, and that's certainly something worth pursuing.
