Rookie Oneirnaut
Hello Hello Hello
My name's BuckEgg, You can call me "Egg" or "Buck." or whatever one you can pick off my name. So obviously, i've already roamed onto the IRC before introducing myself and I like what I see, but if it were different it wouldnt matter.
I am a 16 year old in Nevada, USA and well, Sin City is boring when you've got no money. You work with what you got, and what I've got is sleep. I figure, why not make sleeping into a hobby instead of a chore? At least for me it's a chore, having to close my eyes for almost hours and hope the magical moment where I zoom into the morning and wake up brand new. Off-topic.
I've had a couple of lucid dreams, some I've actually controlled, semi-controlled, then had no control at all, yet I knew it was a dream. I wasn't entirely aware though, not enough to manifest something out of nothing. My first actual lucid dream where I had almost full awareness and full control was a flying dream. Which is typical right? Everyone, at some point, wishes they could fly.
Anyway, I'll be here, roaming around IRC, forums, DVA, etc. But I plan to start my ACTUAL dreaming in the 1st of August so any suggestions on prepping or what to expect in a month's time of dreaming would be GREAT.
So yeah, progress march on.

Welcome, Buck. Congrats on your first few dreams and I hope you have many more. Flying is one of the more common things to do in your few lucids, the other being sex. As for advice, keep practicing dream recall and keep your journal updated. Good luck.

Aloha Buck! Welcome to DV, etc., etc. Glad to hear that you've already had a couple of lucid dreams prior to signing up for these forums. If you've already had a few then that might help you become lucid quicker when August rolls around.
As splodeymissile said, make sure that you keep practicing dream recall and write in your dream journal every time you remember something--even if it's just a dream fragment. Make sure that you read around the website to get some inspiration for your next lucids and you might want to do a few reality checks every now and then, though that might get you a LD earlier than August. If you have any questions don't be shy to ask around--we'll do what we can to answer.
Good luck!
