Welcome again! Glad you are with us. :sunflower:
Interesting. I have a few theories on that.
I find that when I have a really vivid and intense dream that I awake and feel very refreshed in the morning. When I have a night of fuzzy and disjointed dreams, I awaken tired.
I believe this has more to do with how soundly you sleep than with the fact you are dreaming. When you remember a lot of dreams, you are probably sleeping very lightly and many things are disturbing you. You never get a chance to be really sound asleep.
On the mornings of my vivid dreams, my wife will usually tell me that she had to check on me a few times to make sure I was still breathing. This indicates to me that I was sleeping soundly. My most intense lucid dreams occur when I am sleeping like this as well, totally cut off from the world!
This is an interesting topic...i once remarked to a friend that i was always tired, yet i seemed to sleep well.
She asked me if i dreamed. I said yes, and she said i wasn't sleeping well, because my brain was too active.
My argument was that if i didn't dream, i didn't sleep well...do i have that backwards?
Well, it seems I cannot get into deep sleep w/o them(b/c during non-REM, I seem to be conscious), so that is an obvious answer, but I believe it can differ from person to person!Quote:
