hello!
Hello fellow dreamers!
I have been lucid dreaming as far back as I can remember (starting at about 5 years old). I'm 25 now, so I have about 20 years experience with it, and It's always been a big part of my life, kind of like a hidden shadow life that I never really talk about with people. Whether I use it for pleasure, creativity, power trips, or deep introspection, it has always been a lot of fun, even when it's frustrating. Not even gonna lie, most nights I either go on a power trip, experimenting with as many cool superpowers as I can think of, or other stuff that I guess I'm not supposed to talk about here :shadewink: But it's really nice when I can summon dream people to talk to that will give me deep, insightful information.
I remember at least some dreams every night, and I have for a very long time. I lucid dream naturally about half the times that I sleep, but I can go lucid every night if I set my alarm to wake me up a few hours before it's time to get up. I always lucid dream when I nap during the day, which I think is kind of weird. Lately, I've been trying really hard to go straight from being awake to a lucid dream. I never knew that they had a name for it until I found this site, I just thought it was something cool to try. I'm still not sure what it's called, is it WILD? MILD? I don't know. I've only done it once by focusing on hearing and smelling the ocean until I could see it and feel the sand beneath my feet. But damn it's really hard for me.
When I'm not dreaming, I like to go hiking, meditate in nature, play piano, and do introverted guy stuff. I'm a Biochemistry student at some University somewhere, and I want to design cheap, sustainable community sized agricultural systems someday. BECAUSE I don't think people should go hungry, personally. I look forward to doing cool dream stuff with you guys ^^

Welcome to Dreamviews!
Wow, 20 years of lucid dreaming, that's awesome.
Yup, when you enter LD straight from being awake, without losing awareness, that's a WILD (wake initiated LD). If they start from within a dream, it's a DILD (dream induced LD).
And naps are great for LDing, since in a nap, we go almost straight into a REM. Happy dreams:alien:
Welcome
