It's normal that the first lucid dreams are quite short, but they will become longer with practise and experience. I'm sure you'll have plenty of more LDs if you only work for them :)
fruitful lucid dreaming requires only one thing.. determination
If you have that and never give up, you'll have lucid dreams that last as long as you want them to in vivid detail :)
