Glad I Found This Place
Hi all, I am beyond happy to have found a community of people who enjoy dreaming in general the way I do. It's hard to talk about, sometimes I feel like my obsession with fantasy is almost unhealthy...I daydream pretty much pathologically. I've experienced lucid dreaming before but not nearly as much as I'd like. Its the coolest feeling ever though, like pure exploration of your subconscious. anyway, please introduce yourself I look forward to making friends and stuff :D

Hey Zac!
I'm new to Dream Views too! I'm pumped to be a member of the community, can you remember you experience with lucid dreaming? what was it like?
I agree it is definitely one of the coolest feelings! I haven't gone as far as exploring my subconscious yet, but ill definitely get to that eventually. One of the first almost lucid dreams I had was flying and I have to say it was an extraordinary simulation its exactly what I imagined it would be!

Hello Zacsby! I'm also a newbie here and I have to agree that lucid dreaming is one of the coolest things a person can experience! One of my goals with lucid dreaming is to have a conversation with my subconscious. What about you? Any lucid dreams you want to share?

Hi and welcome to DV!
LD addict here! :) Oh, hey, tell me about your day dreams! I used to do that a lot when I was a kid, but not anymore. Maybe you have some tips?
-
Thanks for the welcome everybody!
One of my most distinct lucid dreams was also a creation dream! I was in what seemed to be a 70's style cinema and once I realized I was dreaming I could control what was going on on screen and the people around me started to change to my liking. it was pretty rad I must say :cheeky:
ahhhh day dreams...I personally am an extreme introvert. social interactions throughout the day literally exhaust me. so I've made it a bit of a ritual to go to a dark place by myself, and just get lost in my own thoughts so I can decompress. its all about being able to detach yourself from reality. but I'm a little crazy so who knows if you should be taking advice from me or not :shadewink:

^^ Oh, that sounds like a nice practice, quite helpful to chill out and I can see it being beneficial for lds too, especially if you are good with visualization. Seems like you have good dream control, maybe it's related indeed. Interestingly, I happened to read that doing things like this in darkness might help you concentrate on inner experience and relax better (from yoga). So, you're not totally crazy.:P

I'm Dezz.
Be my friend. Now.
:-) Welcome to the forum. You're in the right place if you want to delve into dreaming.

yeah NyxCC, I kind of look at it as meditation. I don't think it would be particularly useful in attaining lucidity, but when you're an expert day dreamer and you finally do find yourself in a lucid dream. woah, the things you can do lol. I think what I need to focus on are my RC's. day dreaming the way I do, I tend to let my reality and fantasy worlds blend too much therefore I don't question whats going on in my dreams enough.
oh hai Dezz, we are officially friends :goodjob2:
really excited about this, so much to learn so many dreams to be had!!!
