Hi!
My name is Federico, and I have been studying Lucid Dreaming here in Argentina for some years now. I started using the LaBerge method, but currently, I am learning the Tibetan Yoga of six doctrines, with the focus on the Oniric Body Yoga.
I led a small groups of oneironauts, and in some time, we hope to publish our findings in a book. While researching sites I have found this forum, and after seeing just how good it was, I joined right away!

Hey, I'd like to hear a little bit more about the Tibetan Yoga (I've heard LaBerge recently mention that in an interview on the radio and in his book). I was just in Buenos Aires this last April (ahh, damn, the women there are HOT!!)
Anyway, got sidetracked.... oh, so yeah, would love to hear about how the Tibetan Yoga is different (or the same) from the practices we have here on this site.

Well, Tibetan Dream yoga (the oniric body Yoga from the six doctrines Yoga) is a lamaist (that is, derivate of shivaistic tantric tendencies) form of yoga which stresses the comprehension that every moment of our lives is a dreaming state. It requieres steadfast practicing (unlinke the LaBerge method) and greater commitment, but I have found it better to induce Wilds. An advanced training is meditating on Mandalas to induce a specific dream state, and visualizing mandalas just before sleeping, to create instant lucidity.

This reminds me of the time I went fishing out in the bush with this guy and he kept singing. "Don't cry for my argentina. The truth is i never loved you all through my wild days. i kept my promises" and he was skipping along. Nice upbeat guy but I suspect he was gay or alteast bi.

Well, by now I've been down to Buenos Aires enought to know it pretty well - I love it! Not because of how much cheaper it is if you have dollars - but the whole atmosphere there. It's kinda like a New York city - just not as screwed up, I guess.Quote:

Next time I go down there I'll probably not spend as much time in Buenos Aires, I have yet to visit the country side - like Mendoza, las Pampas, Tierra Del Fuego, and the glaciers...etc. But, we'll see.

Yes, BSAS it's quite a bit crazy, anyway! :-)
However, if you come back to Argentina, and you are interested in dreaming states, I would recommend that you travel north to formosa, to see the Wichi Shamans, which have a very interesting dream technology of their own, which I am trying currently to study.
And yes, the visualization of the mandalas requiere some proficiency with the ilusion body yoga. But it's quite easy to find literature and teachers (at least here! :-) ). If you like, I'll send or post some of it.
