Hi there!
Hello everyone,
My name is Thom. But I go by MrPriority online. You can call my Prio if you want.
I found out about lucid dreaming after watching inception:lol: That was of course a while ago. After that, I tried to find out more about lucid dreaming. What I found were horrible stories about SP. That scared me so badly that I tried my best never to think about LD again. I had my first (sort of) LD about a year ago, wich scared me so bad I instantly woke up. Luckily I found a way to overcome most of my fears (I had a lot back then:cheeky:). So when I had another one this week I wasn't scared. I actually made a car fly and flew myself for a bit, then picked up my mom and flew her around for a bit:D Unfortunately even though I realised i was having a LD I lost control very fast. I also don't remember it well enough. So I looked around the web, found this site and decided to try out the DVA.
I hope it works and I hope I see most of you guys around.
Any more questions are always welcome!:D

Yup, SP is something that happens naturally everytime we dream, and it's nothing to be scared of. It actually is very cool.

Hey Prio, welcome to DreamViews! It's been fun chatting with you on IRC :)
I think I also found out about lucid dreaming from inception. Good to hear you overcame your fears, now it's just fun lucids on the horizon
I hope you're enjoying yourself here, I think you make a great addition to the community. See you on IRC and around the forums!

Welcome to the forum!
I feel like Inception is definitely what made lucid dreaming popular - or at least, more well known - to the general public. I didn't see Inception until after I had already started lucid dreaming, but it was cool to see plenty of stuff tie over to what I already knew about it. Plus, it helped me understand the movie pretty well, while my friends were left scratching their heads... :chuckle:
But yeah, sleep paralysis is nothing to be afraid of. It can even be pretty fun, if you keep a level head when it happens.
Anyway, enjoy your stay!
