Hello! My experience!
Alright let me start by saying I found this site because of my bizarre lucid experience. I work a lot and ended up working 8 more hours due to a no show so to say I was exhausted is an understatement.
Anyways it usually takes me awhile to fall asleep even when I'm very tired. I was laying on my bed with my eyes closed getting frustrated that I wasn't slipping into sleep. My brain felt like it was going a mile a minute but my body felt heavy.
I decided I was tired of waiting and in my sleep deprivation mentally tried to ease myself out of my body thinking this would trigger a dream hence sleep!!
Well it actually worked, I was aware of my body on my bed but I was on the outside. I could manipulate any aspect but occasionally I would snap back into my body and I could feel my body but I would just push myself back out and continue to try and push myself further from my body but the further I tried the more I snapped back. Eventually I snapped awake... It was the most real feeling dream I have ever had and it was so bizarre I remember every vivid detail everything was intensified and surreal I'm actually still shaken up by it!!
What are your guys thoughts?

Welcome Zazzle86! That is a cool experience you had, a pre bed wild (wake induced lucid dream). Sometimes it happens spontaneously for some people.
If you are interested in learning more about different ways to induce lucid dreams you can read about them here:
