Hi. New Here.
I only heard of lucid dreaming last week. Anyway, I am first working on dream recall because mine is not good. I only dream on occasion so I need to work on it. I have been trying but I haven't had luck so far. I would try to go to bed thinking "I will remember my dream" over and over until I fall asleep but my mind always wanders onto something else right before I fall alseep. Any tips?

Hello! I am new here and learning too!
Anyway, if you are not keeping a dream journal yet, it is crutial that you start one.
It took me a little to get used to remembering my dreams. I was used to just thinking about anything before I went to bed and popping up in the morning without any thought of the night. I found that it works best to be pretty tired before you go to sleep. Also, for me, it is ok if my mind wanders, as long as every so often I remind my self to remember my dreams. As long as I remind myself sometime before I go to sleep, I remember my dreams.
Hope this helped a bit.

Hi there!
Also, when you wake up in the morning, don't get up immediately, but instead stay still in your bed for some minutes trying to remember your dreams. If you can't remember anything, try focusing in how you feel at the moment. It might help to make an association to the dream you just wake up from. And the most important thing is to get enough sleep. I don't know how much you sleep, but aim for at least 8 hours per night.
I hope this helps :)

drink a shitload of water before you go to bed. when you wake up to pee, immediately take the pen and paper by your bed and write down anything you remember.

Hello welcome to the Forum!
Try waking up after REM periods which will give you that extra boost of memory!
(I would stick my finger in cold water while im asleep =D?)
