Hi, so I found this website while i was looking for careers about dreams because I'm choosing a major and dreams are some of my favorite things ever, so I want to do something involving them. I had heard of lucid dreaming before, but I never tried it because I heard you get paralyzed and I'm claustrophobic so I decided not to risk it, but it seems like such an amazing experience, so I'm hoping to gain the courage to try while im here. :dreaming:

But this '' I heard you get paralyzed'' is so wrong. If you start with simple techniques, you won't get sleep paralysis just because of lucid dreaming. I have been doing LD for 2 years and never experienced sleep paralysis.

Thank you both! I read somewhere that SP had to happen in order to achieve lucidity, and not only that, but you were paralyzed as a hallucination of some dark figure walked towards you and told you to stay out of the dream world or something. Just the thought of it scared me out of ever trying, but thanks to you two I'm starting to practice DILD now!
