I have been lurking around Dream Views for a couple of weeks now, and have decided to step out of the shadows. I really like the community here, though I have seen but a glimpse of what it has to offer. I have mostly been reading from a DV Academy course on WILD by Sageous.
I have yet to successfully WILD, but have improved my dream recall pretty quickly. I am not stuck on WILDing, it is just what I stumbled upon first when looking for information on lucid dreams. All aspects of lucid dreaming intrigues me a great deal.
I have only had two lucid dreams that I can recall. There were several years ago and happened just by chance, I think. They were fantastic and I wish to dive deeper into the possibilities of lucid dreaming. I remember realizing that I was dreaming in both, and making deliberate decisions that steered the course of my dream. I have tried (more like hoped) to repeat this type of experience while dreaming several times since with no results. However, I will say until now I have not been serious in my attempts nor have I sought any guidance in doing so.
Finding this community excites me and has thrown me into a quest for lucid dreaming. I am eager for what may ensue!

:welcome: to Dreamviews, lovealynch.
Congrats on your lucids, even if they have been by chance, as you say. Those were DILDs. I would recommend you read our DILD tutorial in the link below, as those are probably easiest to get for a beginner. It's ok to be still attempting a WILD, while you practice for DILDs as well, since they both happen at different times of our sleep.
And congrats on finding the DVA and Sageous's WILD class : D Those are all awesome and I recommend them highly to everybody.
It's great to hear that you have registered because you like our community. It really is very nice, welcoming and we have tons of great info.
So please read up and let us know if you have any questions.
