      Hello~

What's up y'all! Name's Yuri (Gagarin's namesake, no less!), 21, Russia, and I'm back to lucid dreaming after a darn long hiatus. See, I got into LDs back when I started college and it lasted about two years. Okay, a year and a half maybe, but what does matter? I only got one LD for the whole time, and I was blind the entire 10 seconds it seemed to last. Well, that was the final nail in my motivation's coffin, and soon the entire thing just faded for me. Sure, the DJ was fun to keep and RCs kept me on edge in a good way, but without the result it was all useless.
Now I am back without the defeatist attitude (so far!, been keeping an e-DJ on my brand new shiny phone and checking that reality like a pro. To be honest, my motivation's already sinking, but today I will be trying a WBTB approach - in fact, too rare a possibility for me to squander. Wish me luck, and good luck to you all! Hopefully, this fresh start in a new community will be fruitful (no, phone, I did NOT mean "frustrating", stop autocorrecting)!

A blind LD is a good start! Perhaps your REM hadn't kicked in quite yet... early WILDs often have very poor visuals, and there are sometimes blind patches in between dreams. Maybe you'll find some new techniques around here -- I certainly got some fresh ideas when I started poking around these forums! Sometimes novelty alone can really be helpful. But motivation is the main thing, as you're already aware, so good luck!

That's awesome that your motivation is back, I go through cycles of low motivation with lucid dreaming as well. It's a ton of fun when I get motivated though. I'm excited for you to have some awesome lucid dreams this time, good luck man!
