New to the site, here's my intro/hello!

      Here's my intro

Hi guys, I found this site while I was googling how to control my dreams better. A little bit about myself: I'm 18 this year and ever since I realised mid dream, when I was kid whilst being chased by Dracula, that I was dreaming and I could wake up anytime I choose to, I've been aware that I'm dreaming in almost all of my dreams. I'm a very vivid dreamer, and I remember most of my dreams vividly up till now.

Most of my dreams are chasing type dreams, that vary from zombie apocalypses, vampire uprising, etc. although nowadays these kinds of dreams have become lesser, and have been replaced with dreams that have a storyline that I must follow, or quest that I must complete. In most of my dreams, although I know I'm dreaming, it's registered as more of a background info instead of something that I tell myself constantly. Just like how in real life I know I'm alive and breathing, but I don't have to tell myself constantly. (Is that the same for y'all?)

But because of this, I don't exactly have total control of my dreams, like some of the dreams I've read on here. Mostly I'm able to fly, go super speed like flash or merge rooms (teleport?)when I need to. So I guess I still need to read up more and practice

It's nice to meet everyone and I look forward to talking to y'all!!
      (whoops sorry for the length)
Thanks for reading, p.s does anyone know how I can stay in first person view in dreams, because I want to try doing reality checks but that's kind of hard to do without a body...

Welcome to the forums! I saw you pop into IRC yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to say hi before you left, sorry.

One method I read for switching to first person is to essentially abandon your third-person body, and try to form a new body using your current point of view as a reference. It's easier than trying to teleport your vision into your other body.

But it sounds that you don't really need reality checks that much, since you're usually aware that you're dreaming. It's probably more of a matter of reminding yourself that it is your dream, you are in control, and so you can abandon the story line completely if you want.

Anyway, enjoy your stay, and let us know if you have any questions!

Welcome to DreamViews! From what I've experienced when I do Reality Checks in 3rd person I'm kinda transferred into 1st person. I don't think much about it, it's most likely because I was focusing on something from up close. I don't know if that helps but please enjoy your stay here!
