Hello! I'm new and I have some questions

Hi! I've always been curious about dreams and before even hearing about lucid dreaming, i was able to somewhat control my dreams to a small degree.
I got intruduced to lucid dreaming 2 years ago, and I have been working on lucid dreaming ever since :)
But I still haven't been able to figure out some things, for example:

I read that everyone has atleast one dream guide, I've tried finding my dream guide, but whatever I did I got no result. In my dreams I can sense that I'm being watched by a prescence and whenever I was losing lucidity in a dream there was always this voice in my head telling me what I should do. so here's the question: If my dream guide is helping me, why doesn't he show himself to me?

and my next question: Is it possible for me to encounter myself in a lucid dream? My spirit/soul?

Welcome to dream views! : D Not everyone has a dream guide. Only those who give attention to it or are randomly guided by a dream character. If you want it to come out you can call to it or go to a room and expect them to be there. You can even try the dream phone or just imagine them appearing in front of you. If they dont come out you dont have to think too hard about it. Just try and if they dont come do something else in the dream.

About the soul/spirit thing you can appear as one in your lucid dream but I dont believe that you can go out of your body like in a OBE or AP. Other people have other opinions/belief about it though.

You state that your dream guide is helping you as a voice in your head at times. But perhaps he has yet to manifest into the 'physical' world of your dreams because you need to create a form for him to manifest in. :-? In my dream guides article (nudge nudge), I say that you shouldn't try to control how your dream guide looks/behaves, but maybe that's different for you.

As for meeting yourself or your soul in dreams, that is possible too. I've found that I look different in dreams than I do in waking life. I haven't met my soul yet.

Be patient and be opened to any teaching/help from your dreamguide. If DGs exists as beings that don't originate in our mind, they will show themselves to us when they feel we are ready.

Yes, maybe. :D though I never really did consider giving him a physical form :-? maybe he has difficulties to make one for himself? I don't know..Next time I get a lucid dream, I'll be sure to ask if he needs help for a physical form.. :D
