Hey
hello everyone! I'm 14 and new here so plz be kind... I've always been into LD and I really wanted to find more about them and share my experiences. I'm just a bit worried about some aspects of LD like not being able to control my nightmares which I read about once. Thanks bye ;-)

Welcome to the forums!
Lucid nightmares are nothing to be afraid of - they don't happen any more frequently than non-lucid nightmares. Plus being lucid in them can usually help make them not scary - knowing that it's not real and that nothing can hurt you is a very liberating feeling, and just that realization can usually dispel any scary situations, even without a huge amount of dream control.
I always like to link new people who are afraid of lucid nightmares to one of my old DJ entries, which is still to this day one of my favorite lucids, since it was the first time I turned a dream where I was completely terrified into a lucid where I was invincible and powerful. Anyway, hope that helps. If you have any other questions, let us know. And feel free stop by the IRC if you want to chat.

I held back from lucid dreaming due to that same fear. I figured it'd actually be pretty fun to be in a lucid nightmare; you learn a lot from experiences such as those and just remember, months after it you'll be laughing at it :).
Good luck and happy dreaming.

Welcome to DV Uvavu!
If you're in a nightmare and you become lucid, you will easily forget it was a nightmare to begin with, because the feeling of being lucid is so cool. :)
