Just stop, coutn to three and focus on the world aorudn you. try to remain calm as if your on vacation, think of it as a vaction, and just brethe in an dout. ;)
This probably happens to everyone who first had a lucid dream and knew the possiblities of having one...
After you become lucid, if you manage to keep it long enough even to perform 1 thing, your excitement will drop a bit the next time you have one (it has with me alot), and it will soon seem to like "Hey im dreaming, what do i want to do now?", and you won't be super excited about it.
Try my method
After I realize I'm lucid I just kinda continue the dream, keeping the thought "I'm dreaming!" in the background. Just keep doing whatever you were doing, for example, if you were talking to someone, keep talking (Maybe change the topic to lucid dreaming...). Then, when the time is right you can subtly take control of the dream. This has worked well enough on the two lucids I've had.
Hi twelvelookslikex and everyone,
One technique to maintain lucidity is "spinning", that is moving quickly the hands, like in swimming. In a way is the opposite of staying calm. Probably it depends on your mood, type of dream and personality.
It's juts a suggestion from the book: I never tried, since... I never had a Lucid Dream :?
I'm here to learn.
