      dream lover

Hi from when I was a kid till now I've been imagining things making my own animations and stuff before going to bed every single night. I do love to think about doing things I can never do in real life and that caused me to dream them too. I do dream every night and that's great.
I could control one of my dreams n that was really strange for me. I told everyone but no one believed bcz they thought dream is something they cannot control n it happens on its own. Unfortunately I didn search for it on net but it doesn mean I was discouraged. I kept imagining all again and had water bending shape shifting even flying dreams. I always become a lioness and start hunting people who run for their lives!
Anyways Im a 19 year old girl who loves dreams a lot! And is interested in reading all your posts when free!
We all sleep so why not enjoying it by doing what we love in our INDUCED DREAMS.

Hello Mahshid! That's really cool! I too always make own animations and stuff, but not before I go to bed. And you are lucky you've had a lucid dream. I've never had one before and I'm still waiting for it!

Yeah, some people are ignorant about lucid dreams. People claim that lucid dreaming is fake and you can't control your dreams, when there have been tons of people who have done it.

That is so really cool! How many people do you hunt down daily? Must be fun seeing everyone running away from you in terror! Awesome!

Hi Mahshid and welcome to Dreamviews! I love animation too and am actually going to college to become a professional artist for animation. I think animation and lucid dreams go great together. You can make a world from scratch with just your imagination. Plus you can use dreams to inspire your animations! Like Luciera said there are lots of friendly people here who will help you become a better lucid dreamer. Make yourself at home. You seem like you have some natural tallent for dreaming so why not look into WILD techniques to supplement your current abilities. It is also a good idea to have some goals for what you want to do next like how you like to become a lioness. Do you have any ideas?

Also, hi Luciera. I should say welcome to you too. It is great to have both of you here.

I had my first lucid dream when I never knew what was going on and that was more painful than u having no lucid dreams. Lol. Kidding I promise you will have urs too as soon as you r ready for it. I never cared about dreams but all I did was daydreaming till I fell asleep. You can start from visualising things. Remember the features of sponge Bob and try to talk to him n make his lips and cheeks move. I love Sponge Bob he is so cute

Thank you Mashid for everything. You are a really affable person. I really appreciate your support. You made me believe once more. I know I will attain lucidity. Thank you so much, once again.

And yeah, Spongebob is awesome! So is Patrick!

I have a question about reality checks ( I'm a beginner after all!) And I guess I've seen no answer to it anywhere.
My question is how to do a reality check. I know tons of reality checks like biting urself and scaring people thinking whether or not ur a zombie r u dreaming and if u were u would feel no pain. Should I pretend and imagine I feel no pain? Should I imagine my finger goes through my Palm? Bcz it doesn in real and that caused my RC to fail. I'd b happy to see ur answers. Since I've read all forums about RC and then registered to meet cool ppl and ask questions
      Thank u so much all

      Thanks for ur warm welcome
I wish u the greatest luck in becoming the most famous pro artist for animations.
Then I'd come to u and ask u to make an animation of my dreams in chasing and spilling blood

Welcome to the forum, Mahshid. I saw you stop by chat for a bit, hope to see you again.

I've never heard of biting yourself as an RC, and I actually don't know how effective it would be in practice. To me, it seems like it would hurt about the same in the dream as it would in reality, which makes it not that great of a reality check. My go-to reality check is the nose plug - plug your nose and try to breathe through your closed nostrils. More often than not, you'll be able to breathe through them in the dream.

If you haven't already, you might want to check out this tutorial, it'll teach you how to effectively practice RCs in waking life for inducing lucids: Reality Check Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
"Going through life worrying about the little things is like cooking with motor oil instead of cooking oil. Sure, you can still probably pull it off, but it'll leave a bad taste in your mouth in retrospect." - Me, apparently

By and far the best RC that works for the most people is the nose plug one that spellbee2 mentioned. You can breath in dreams no mater what because of our biological need for oxygen. Otherwise people who have nightmare of drowning might actually die. Pinching yourself or biting yourself is something that works in movies but not in real life consistantly because unlike in the movies it is possible to feel pain while dreaming (although you can go through very brutal stuff while lucid and feel fine haha). Other than that You can always experiment with other techniques once you are lucid and see what works for you.

Important: Even if you come to the conclusion that you are not dreaming, don't acknowledge it. Don't say/think "I'm not dreaming". Instead, say a mantra "Next time I'm dreaming, I realize I'm dreaming", or "Next time I RC, I realize I'm dreaming." Otherwise, you may RC in your dream and out of habit you will acknowledge that you are not dreaming. That's what I wanted thanks ! True I felt pain in my dreams and biting is not a good choice. anyway is there a place for discussions like this? Questions and answers? I feel our conversation here is kinda irrelevant to this topic. Hope its not.
