New here!
Hey all,
I've been contemplating for a while to join the forum as I became more afraid of a figure in my dreams, but I suppose I should say that I am not afraid of this figure during the dream. This figure freezes my vision while I can move, but can't change my vision as if an error has occurred. It stays like that until this figure leaves the room. I can feel this figures chuckle and thoughts to my mind (funny, everything IS in my mind) saying "That is interesting".
Usually, when I encounter a scary situation, I rewind time. Or if someone/some beast chases me, I run backwards. I can change my perception, this time I can't. I have to say that I am usually not scared in those situations, to me those situations are a game to me.
I believe I was lucid during these two times when I encountered this figure, as I was fooling around by taking over a body and being all weird. But I don't like the fact that this figure takes away my control over my dreams.
Anyway, I don't remember when I started to lucid dream, it is my playground and my safe haven. I love more to forget who I am and enjoy what I do in the lucid dreams, but I still am more amazed how my mind/dreams shows me the most beautiful things, scenery and story plots. Though, until I was 12, I had many moments where I thought to myself that it's a dream, though it was really the reality, I couldn't tell for some reason. I just thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, like dreams usually does, but nope.. I just have a really bad sense of direction...

hi and :welcome: to DreamViews!
One way to change the course of your recurring dreams is to visualize different ending during day. Just think about scenarios and picture some ending that will benefit you.
Funny how you say that you feel like dangerous situations are not scary to you, because you feel they are some kind of a game. I have the same feeling. I'm being chased or caught or about to be hurt by someone... I alway know it's just a game and that allows me to enjoy these intense scenarios.
