Scared,Crying.
well I'm new here, not sure if this is where I post a question. I had a dream I was being eaten by an unknown Creature. it started with my left thigh big chunk taken out of it. I thought it was over. don't remeber seeing blood. but then these little creatures came rushing back and started going at me on my chest. My wife said I woke up kind of convulsions and screaming get them off of me. I finally actually woke up. apologized to her. she asked what happened and I started to cry and said I don't know.(I didn't want her to know) then I started crying, and couldn't go back to sleep. I am actually writing this right after ithe happened. still in tears everytime I think about it. please help with anything

Well this is the reason for sleep paralysis, much better to not be able to move in real world then thrashing about in bed beating up someone else in it.
Some dreams can shock you awake, but remember they are just dreams. In a dream if it is dark and you expect creatures to get you the expectation will create them. I just woke from a dream of many nasty creatures, but there were also some good ones and I managed to end up with a weapon to blast the monsters, it was supposed to be like a chain gun but just sprayed them with some sort of infectious gel. Initially concerned in the dream I dreamed up a solution (weapon) and dreamed on (not sure how I can miss becoming lucid in such an absurd dream tho, what had originally been reptilian monsters towards the end looked more like an army of kittens wondering why I was laying waste to them)

What you experienced is called REM behavior disorder. This is when REM atonia that keeps you from moving while dreaming ends too early.
Isolated episodes of this are not much to worry about but if it starts occurring with any regularity you should see a doctor.
