I heard from somewhere that if you focus on your 5 senses it would extend the dream focus on everything around you hear things rub your hands and so on i usually stabilize it by rubbing my hands and works most of the time some people eat stuff lol or you can spin around
I will try it. Thanks for these tips
Welcome Xorda!
As Kir4ee said, try to interact with your environment as much as possible to keep you engaged in the dream.
You can also aim to complete specific tasks - I have found this helps me prolong dreams to the point I don't even have to think about stabilizing. We have a great section dedicated to this with lots of cool things to try out - from simple to complex ones which you can perform as soon as you become lucid.
Tasks of the Month & Year
Thanks for every help :D
I have this problem too. I've tried everything from doing nothing, to being active.
I once became lucid and wanted to do a task of the month and knew I would have to travel a ways on foot, so I held my hand up the whole time, looking at it sometimes, and past it sometimes. Eventually the hand became all like dried and cracked and as I focued in on the cracks I lost the dreamscape, but I lasted several minutes and reached the destination :)
(walking about in a lucid dream with your hand up the whole time probably looks pretty stupid to the DC(s) tho :) )
Verbal cammands can work well too, yell things like 'get clear now' or 'get lighter now' etc.
One of the best methods of course is rubbing your hands together (you can do this in front of your view too), it is good if you do destabilize, just continue to rub so hard you feel the heat, I often used this method (when I think of it) to survive the void. Where I lose the dreamscape but am still rubbing (blind in the darkness or lightness) but then I survive back to the dream scape, or more likely a new or mearly similar dreamscape.
Another key is to have a goal, if you are just lucid wandering about you will not last as long as if you have a purpose (one that will take a bit to complete, and think of a new goal before you finish it, else you might wake immediately upon completion)
