feeling guided to this space, beginning a dream journey

I was searching for some information regarding a dream I had last night when I found this site instead, grateful to have done so. My dreaming practice mostly entails recording my dreams in a journal, sometimes asking a question/setting and intention to receive and answer or guidance in a dream before sleep. I've only had a couple of lucid dreams, but I have to be honest and say I haven't really tried much. I'm mostly interesting in the communication that takes place during our trip to the astral place during sleep, but maybe that will change. I am in the process of being attuned to perform Reiki healing, I recently received a message that a new spirit guide has come in to help me with a new journey (his name is Frank, how cool!), am holding a solid meditation/self care practice and am all around absolutely committed to developing my spiritual and psychic gifts lately.
I experienced my first lucid dream at about 10 years old while sleeping over at a friend's house and her brother simply explained to us what a lucid dream was - he put it simply that it was realizing you were dreaming but not waking up and possibly controlling said dream. Shortly after we went to sleep, I dreamed of my 10 year old self being kidnapped in a van in my neighborhood and getting a few miles down the road before I realized it was a dream. I then willed the man driving to turn the van around, take me home and give me the playstation in the back - total win. I didn't continue trying to have these dreams, although I had a prophetic one around the same time about my parents divorcing and the man my mom would leave my dad for. About 5 years ago, I dreamed someone said something to me that occurred the next day in the same tone/feeling.
The dream I experienced last night was really special compared to any I've ever had. In the dream, I'm playing volleyball in shin deep water at the beach with people from somewhere in Asia. The ball becomes a pink frisbee and a guy seems to taunt me and throws it in a way that it curves, lands in the water and I grab it quickly just before he does. All of a sudden everyone is running to the shore in a hurry, I notice the sky is getting dark and there is heat lightning in the clouds. I run to the shore as well. I see a disc in the water, but I look down and realize the frisbee is in my hand. At this moment the disc in the water turns a bright golden yellow and grows into a portal. I'm pulled into a world of yellow geometric shapes (specifically triangle) and blue and green ribbons. I feel like this portal took me multiple places but I don't remember where. I believe I realized it was a portal immediately, but only the last time I was in it do I remember willing myself to be pulled into it.
This morning I woke up and read a few pages of the book I'm currently reading, Lightworker's Source by Sahvanna Ariente , and come to a page about "dream doorways" and that yellow ones signify intuition and spiritual connection - a doorway to connect with the spirit world and where we meet with spirit guides, deceased loved ones, future events, extra sensory perceptions and prophetic dreams. Pretty wild to have had this dream right before getting to that part of the book!
