Love dreaming 💗

Hi all, im so happy iv finally found a dream forum that's active! I really do hope people respond when I post about my dreams, although im aware that it is only the dreamer themselves that can truly interpret what there dream means for them, its still such a great help though to receive possible other explanations for the things that happen in them as i often get confused and it can be frustrating. I am more than happy to give others suggestions also, as my friends often come and ask me to help them interpret because they know how much i love it, i feel like its a way of understanding myself better on a deeper level and sometimes can prewarn me of things that take place so on that note i want to explain my dream from saturday night, I was with a young person in an unknown house when all of a sudden someone was trying to break in and come for us so we hid under the house through the floorboards where i could see through out to the backyard waiting for them to leave. I remember a shot from a gun being fired through the window leaving a clean small hole in the glass?? I dont recall feeling overly scared and I cannot remember much else other than being in the bathroom right before it all happened. Anyway I am a single mum to a 13yo boy, we have been through alot because of his father, physical and emotional abuse, my son has alot of anger/confusion because of this, I struggle with being alone, wanting love and support from a companion, i recently contacted my last ex whom im still in love with, i tried to shut him out a couple of months ago because he goes quiet sometimes to deal with his own issues and i couldn't handle the feeling of abandonment but now i understand we are actually more alike than i thought..anyway i do have a feeling this dream may have something to do with trying to protect my son as iv had alot of dreams interpreting that in the past. The dream you explained there, indeed it sounds like it represents your protectiveness over your son.
The fact that you were not overly scared, that sounds like a nice sign. It shows that when it comes to your son, nothing can stop you from protecting him.



And I just want to comment on the issues you describe with your ex, since I've had experience with a similar issue. I can understand the whole thing about feeling abandoned when he goes quiet to heal himself.

My ex hated it when I did that. I was going through a period in my life where I really needed a lot of quiet time. It's kinda like meditating whilst still living and doing stuff. The meditation involves bringing things up to the surface to heal. The things that come up to the surface can often be very difficult to deal with. That period in my life was the most painful thing I've ever experienced, but somehow I knew I had to go through it. I'm saying this so you're aware of the whole universe of pain, beneath the surface which is, a person not speaking.

Like I said, my ex hated it. She felt abandoned. She felt like I didn't care. She felt like I just wasn't pulling my weight, especially with communication. Which I completely understand. I grew to understand her perspective.
The thing is though, I wasn't abandoning her, and I did still care, a lot. In fact I felt a whole lot better while I was just sitting next to her. Even without much verbal communication, I felt healed simply by the presence of someone I love. I was deep in my own inner-universe, but the knowledge that I still had someone there, was more than enough.

We never worked out in the end, for many different reasons. But one of the big reasons was that we simply weren't compatible, in terms of communication. I find great value in meditation, where she finds great value in talking about everything. I can sit in silence with someone and feel like I've had a full conversation. She sits in silence and it turns her insane.
When you get two people as different as that, it's not an easy thing to make work. Naturally incompatible. But it can work. If each party fully understands the other's way of functioning, then the chances are much greater.

Obviously I don't know all the details about your relationship with your ex. But I just wanted to offer my perspective there. There's different angles to look at the thing.

It has helped me alot and am truly forever grateful for you opening up like that and talking about your past relationship and experience. And your spot on about my son, his my world and I dont doubt for a second that I would do anything to keep him safe.
