      goodmorning!

Hello everyone! I'm 19 years old and I'm writing from Italy (so please forgive me if I will make some mistakes). I'm studying Biotechnology at university and I recently discovered this world of lucid dreaming.

It's from January that I'm trying to have a lucid dream but without success, I can never realize that I'm dreaming even for a second. I can easily remember my dreams by writing them in a dream journal, I do reality check and I start meditating; I tried some techniques like MILD, WILD and WBTB, but none of this things seems to work for me.

I'm very happy to be here and I'd like to learn more about lucid dreaming to enjoy this amazing thing, and I would really appreciate if you have some tips or stories to share.

      Hey nia02......

I'm pretty new at this myself but I have started much later in life. My best advice at this point is to try to settle on a technique and a system that feels good to you and stick with it for a while. You need to retrain your brain a bit as it will want to always go down the same well worn paths where your dreams feel real so you just go along with the plot. It will take a little time to create a new path.

Grab on to any small successes and relish them....they will come. Be persistent. But don't try too hard.....if you start losing sleep you'll get frustrated.

These are things I have learned early on in my journey.
The more I gaze....the more I crave to see

When you next stand at cliff's edge....will you finally learn to fly?

      Hello Nia!

What lenscaper said is on the dot. My progress at first was slow and hard to tell just like you.

Remember to reality check when you just wake up. You can have false awakenings that seems so real and hard to notice it was a dream.
