      Lightbulb Cognitive Science - Inspiration

      Dear Onironauts,

I have always been fascinated by Lucid Dreams and I´m glad to join the community. I study Psychology and in two weeks I will hold a presentation about Lucid Dreams (main Literature: Consciousness An Introduction by Blackmore, S. Troscianko, E.T. ).

I am searching for inspiration to keep the presentation active and interesting and without losing a scientifical approach.

I will be giving fellow students guidelines about DL Induction tomorrow and see what they will report in two weeks. I obviously don´t expect much in just two weeks training, except a higher awareness about their dreamlife.

I would like to plan some group works or games. Do you have ideas which could fit in?

And do you have some interesting papers or other literature advice?

      Thank you

      Welcome, Malvasya!

I would recommend encouraging students to keep a dream journal and also note any sensations and thoughts they have while falling asleep. If they have time for naps that would be great too. Acquainting them with reality checks and day time practices that increase awareness.

On books, it can be helpful to assign reading LaBerge or Waggoner for a good foundation in lding.

      Thank you NyxCC!

Yes, I already planned to encourage them to keep a dream journal and practice some reality checks; I´m very excited to see what comes up!

I´m still looking for something more interactive to do during the session.

      Hi there,

Welcome to the forums. It's nice to see an experienced lucid dreamer joining up. Please feel free to share some of your techniques and such, I know I would be interested in reading.

About the games. We have some already (see the Tasks of the Month / Year threads, and also the Dreamviews Ambassy in development). Feel free to join up or suggest some new games too. I'm always interested in stuff like that.

Anyway, nice to meet you. See you around.

Edit: Oh, and check out the book club
