Well, since the definition of being lucid is knowing that you're dreaming, and the majority of dreams are non lucid (except with certain people), it's safe to say the majority of the time when you're dreaming you think it's really happening. As for false awakenings, I've only had one, but it consisted of me getting out of my bed (not waking up in it) and having the dream progress from there. However, I've heard enough about false awakenings to assume that this could be a possibility.
