Let me introduce myself+ two dreams that I don't understand.

Hi, my name is Jackie. I'm 18. I'm a licensed cosmetologist. Although technically I have a set career and have no need for college, I'm going next fall. After I'm through with college I would like to start apprenticing in a tatoo shop. I have a puppy named Matilda, and I love her to death. Anymore you want to know you can always AIM me @ thiswas tomorrow.

My mother and I don't get along, and apparantly she's been holding a life long grudge against me since I was a toddler for always "going against the grain" and being daddy's little girl. True story, she told me herself. She always likes to tear me down; call me ugly, a freak, never being able to be accepted etc etc etc... I think it may have alot to do with what my dreams consist of.


ANYWAYS. I'm not sure exactly how forums work. Although an internet junkie, I haven't spent too much time on forums.

I'll start with the most detailed dream I've had recently that I can't quite grasp. What got me about this one is that, it was very detailed. I remembered it for a few hours after waking and couldn't get it off my mind.

Basically it was set in my neighborhood that I grew up in as a child. The military was moving in, coming in and taking over. In my neighborhood these two old women who lived together [I think their relation was sisters] were building this fence in a perfect square. The fence was very tall and the square was very large. The military thought they were hiding a opium field within the fences. When they rolled in with their tanks they blew up the fence [which turned into a huge barn before they blew it up] There were a few soldiers patrolling the grounds trying to find people of the neighborhood roaming or trying to "fleet." When they shot at the barn I tried to run behind a tree and a soldier saw me and kept shouting "STOP FLEETING! I SEE YOU, STOP FLEETING!" I yelled back "I'M NOT FLEETING, I'M JUST HIDING BEHIND THIS TREE, I DON'T WANT SHOT." A soldier ended up running towards me and shooting at me. I felt the heat of the bullets on the top of my head, andback. I played dead, and he came up and put the gun to my head. I felt the heat of the gun. I gave up trying to play dead because I figured that he'd shoot me anyways. I turned around and he said "you're very brave. I'll spare you because of that."

They hurded us into two houses that were somehow combined. I got the impression that they were camps. Kind of like concentration camps. But everyone who were in the houses felt safe with the soldiers, like they were on their side and everything is okay. Only a few felt otherwise. Two of my closest friends were in the dream, my little brother, and his best friend since he was 5 [he's 15 now.] A girl I went to school with was also in the dream. She still had her long curly hair [she cut it off in the middle of senior year]

The teenagers were put in one room, where my friends and I were. My little brother's friend was put in with us because I knew him. There were chairs, benches, and tables lining the walls, and nothing was in the middle. There was one window that ran from floor to ceiling to ajoining walls. The girl I went to school with was the only one sitting on this bench, on that side of the room. She was sitting in the middle. All of a sudden I watch this huge tank roll up and start shooting yellow and white flames at the window. I'm thinking "christ, this is how I'm going to die. It's coming. This is it" But instead of catching the room on fire, I feel like it builds a force-feild. The flame turns to white and blue, and all of a sudden the window gives way to the pressure of the flame. It's all white and all I can see is the sillouete of the girl, and her hair if flying like crazy. Nobody is hurt. My brother's friend remembers my brother's dog is in one of the tables. A chiuahah named Chi Chi.

I leave the room to look for my brother and my dog matilda. When I'm looking for them I'm running up this road at full speed but I feel like I'm walking very very slowly. I try my hardest to sprint because I don't want to be caught. But I can't do it. I find them and return to the room to see my two closest friends have left to escape. I can't believe they left without me, I was just trying to find my puppy and my brother. Eventually I leave with my brother, walk to the next street over to my dad's SUV that's been parked there for some time. We speed out of there and on our way see my friends that had left me. They're with Dr. Kovach from ER [? I'm a total ER fanatic and think he's a babe. haha] They get in the car and we leave. The whole time Dr. Kovach acts like my close friend Tyler, who I recently got over crushing on. The Tyler in the dream acts like Tyler but in no way communicates with me.

This is about the extent of the dream.


The other one was, well a basic dream, and reoccuring. I'm pregnent in all of them and very happy that I am. Everyone is happy for me, regardless that I'm only 18 and single. and in the dreams I'm about to have the baby. VS. real life, I don't want kids, and have this phobia of being pregnant. And if I were to have a child now, my family would kill me and I'd have no support from anyone. I haven't had sex since my last relationship [which ended about 6months ago] So I can't be preggo.

And now I feel like I have this weird connection with pregnant women, which I see in life, or on TV.

Hi Jackie, Welcome to DV.
Thats quite a descriptive dream you have posted there. There are a few things you have mentioned in your dreams which i can relate too. The part where you explain that "you are trying to run away, but you cant" I have had this occur several times in my dreams also. It's also when im trying to run away from something/someone.
I dont really have any sort of explanation for reasons why this happens. Only thing i can suggest is; If you can learn teqniques, and how to control your dreams you could use this as a way of finding out what it is your actually running from and why. Once you have done this you may be able to conquer this problem.
I have always been able to wake myself up, therefore i used that as a way of dealing with it. However that didn't solve the problem, just prolonged it. So if you want to learn, and when you do - you will be able to stop running, turn around and face the problem.
I think your second dream, its basically because of your worry of becoming pregnant.

Sorry i haven't been much help, There are alot of nice people on this forum and people who know alot more about the mind, dreaming than me . hopefully they will be more of help.
