A Self-Introduction, and a simple question.
Hello, I am [VJGX].
I am very new to the concept of Lucid Dreaming. I recently found out about it a few weeks ago, and have been reading up a lot on these forums. I have finally gotten the confidence to try and become part of this community, and I hope this involvement will help my LD abilities.
Ever since a few weeks back, I have been trying to use a couple different LD-assisting mp3 files to help me speed up the process. These include:
A Hemi-Sync file involving rain, a relaxation process, self-affirmations, and help with recall
and an mp3 found on here for LD induction, which involves the repitition of sentences involving dream awareness.
Mostly, I have been using the latter one while trying to go to sleep, with no immediate noticable changes. The reason why I've been using these before/during bedtime are because I don't have the time or readiness to set an alarm to wake me up a few hours after falling asleep.
Fortunately, though, there have been two times during which I woke up around 5-6 hours after going to sleep, by random coincidence.
1. I remember 3 dreams, fairly clearly, after waking up. I wrote them down, then went back to bed. I went in and out of the sleep state, and ended up in a dream involving my mom speaking in Japanese, which she doesn't know. Slowly and unwillingly, my consciousness kind of moves into this, and I try the nose RC. Seeing that I am having my first somewhat lucid dream, I try moving, but immediately wake up. This dream was anything but vivid, so I may have been having a normal dream about lucid dreaming... :?
2. I wake up, not remembering enough to write down anything. I go back to sleep, and yet again I find myself in a dream, but this time, it is without any form of dream sign. Everything except the clearness (which was higher than last time) was perfectly normal, yet I still realized I was dreaming by doing a nose RC. I slowly move my hands around while lying in my bed (where the dream started), looking at them a bit, but when I slowly try pulling my body out of bed, I wake up.
Now, I consider these two occasions good signs. Should I, or should I not?
Now for my simple question:
Is there any good way of inducing a Lucid Dream that doesn't involve waking up during the middle of the night? I have been looking around, and it seems to me like the HIT technique may be a good idea. Thanks for your help!! :D

Some other techniques you may want to consider is A DILD, a dream initiate lucid dream and a WILD. Which in my opinion is another form of the HIT technique. It is just a matter of how you get there.
The Tutorials has a ton on information on all of the technique and more. :D
