My introduction
Hello, I've been lurking these forums for a little while now. I've had a few short LDs recently (which is why I decided to join).
When I first found this site I was greatly intrigued, I recalled a moment in a dream from a few years ago where I wondered if I was actually dreaming. It wasn't until I awoke that I realised I actually was and I was quite puzzled.
What has amazed me the most thus far is hypnagogic imagery. I never knew I could do this and find it quite amazing, especially the creation of images at will. I can't do anything more than blurry cartoon characters mind you (ideal with their basic blocks of colour).
What can I do to improve HI? Concentrate less? I haven't had a successful WILD yet and I am eager to progress.
Oh, and my username isn't my own. It's from a book by Russell Hoban about dream sharing.

hi, welcome to the board!
I find with HI it's best not to concentrate too hard at first, and then i find an image i work with, and i try and build a story around it in my head. I've come close to acheiving wild a few times in this way.
Also, try not to do it as soon as you've got into bed, your natural instinct is to fall asleep!
I find it best to try it in an afternoon nap..i've got closest then, but haven't yet been successful.
