Some newb ques.

Hello all, i was wondering how to change the psyical form of your body, like turn into something else. EXAMPLE: i want to be a dog, or jump into someones head and control them. Does anyone have any expirances with this and have tried this with victory? Also, i am addicted to a game call City of Heroes, could i actuly be in the game. Also, is there any other reality checks that i can do besides the watch,text method? And what do they mean by spinning, that also baffled me.

Well considering I also game in my spare time, sometimes I have dreams where I am literally in the game. But I never realize it, and can never find the escape key to quit >_< I can't believe I never notice such an obvious dreamsign.

Have you ever played the game where you spin in a circle so that you'll get dizzy as a kid... or have you ever done ballroom dancing? hehe I believe thats the kind of spinning, when I picture the spinning I picture arms out like a plane and spinning in one place, while picturing the beach and myself making low humming noises hehe, but I just joined this site a few days ago hehe, whawt I mean when I say picture it is what I think they mean by saying spinning hehe,

hehe ^_^, welcome to the site btw, ummm I was reading about one forum where someone mind controlled some people in a dream, I believe it was lucid. A few other lucid dreams people flew... Umm another person's lucid dream he lifted objects with his mind... The sky's the limit ! Then theres the people that just use it so they can get the girls... you know who you are! hehe, umm

Reality Checks(And their effects inside/outside of dream ; RL(real life) Dream(dream) :
Tested(not by me) :
1. Plugging your nose and trying to breathe through it.
2. Biting your finger(not recommended)
3. Palm Poking.
Results of Tested:
1a. RL : You can't and if you continue trying you may cough, spasm, die, turn blue, etc etc etc. *takes no liability for death by reality checks*
1b. LD : Your nose suddenly isnt there(metaphorically) and you breathe through your plugged nose.
2a. RL : Your finger turns red, then blue or a dark shade of purple. You start bleeding, you pass out, you mess up your carpet and your mom gets upset. OR If you bite softer, your finger just hurts.
2b. LD : From other people's exp. your finger is a spongy substance.
3a. RL : Your finger stops at your palm and if you press hard enough will result in pain, and force on the finger usually causing the nuckle to bend.
3b. LD : Your finger misses your hand entirely... no wait, it didnt miss it ! It went straight through it, how's that for a reality check? *poke* *finger through hand* *lose balance* *trip* *wake up with scraped knees* hehe

Results(hypothetical):
1a. RL : Clapping creates a sound and your hands touch together and stop.
1b. LD: Your hands do not make a sound but instead go through your palm's and cause you to lose balance.
2a. RL: You are normally a bad whistler, or a very loud whistler.
2b. LD: You whistle very well and crystal clear. You whistle very softly.
3a. RL: Normally your knuckles pop and you can feel the joints.
3b. LD : You hear no sound, or every knuckle is popable over and over again, or the sound is the same for each knuckle.
4a. RL : N/A
4b. LD : She says, "Hello."
5a. RL : You get punched.
5b. LD : He says, "Hey man, what's up?"
6a. RL : N/A
6b. LD : You dont talk about her daughter/son at all. Just her being in your dream might make you lucid... but let's not talk about nightmares.
7a. RL : Serious damage to your ears.
7b. LD : It is playing at all.
8a. RL : You look up reality checks on a website.
8b. LD : You actually use a reality check you looked up on a website.

Ezekiel had some good/interesting ideas for reality checks. I often plug my nose and try to breathe and that one often works for me.

As for changing your physical body, let's see... If you wanted to be a dog, you would have to visualize the dog: on all fours, tail, head and protruding jaws, ears. Get a feel for what each part feels like individually. Then add them all together, one at a time. I think that if you just kept at the visualization, thinking about the feelings, you would soon find yourself more like the object you desire to be. I don't know how difficult it would be to maintain it, but I have changed to other things in my non-lucid dreams and recall how it feels.

As for controlling someone else... well, they are just an extension of you, so it shouldn't be too hard. Rather than jumping in someone's head, I'd recommend walking up behind them and into them. Then feel the difference between their self and yours and proceed to control them. The biggest thing is keeping in mind that what you want them to do, they will do.

As for spinning, I have used this, though often unawares. I'd say the biggest use for it is if you are changing something in your dream. You start spinning in place, and when you stop you will be in the air, or in another room, or whatever you want. Again, you just have to know that it will happen. Some people use spinning to keep them lucid, but I think there are other more useful techniques, such as rubbing your hands together or against some object in the dream.

Hey, i had a dream, but i had no control over it. I can recall it. It was like a movie view i had, but i was watching me. I pulled a Oceans 12 on Disney World......LOL Somehow, i managed to escape Diseny with a few "mobsters" with 25 million dollars. I also saw my science teacher. The thing was i knew i was in a dream but i could do anything but watch me :mad:. Couldnt even change my view. Is this normal. By the way, thanks to all who posted, ill try the nose thingy, because my room is to dark to see words and my alarm clock is meesed up and dosent work, so nose pluging sounds good.

Also, the spinning, i thought like, well i dont know what i thought. Well, what if in bed and haveing a FA(i think that means you are dreaming that you wake up). Do i just get up and spin. Also while spinning, what do i want to think about, like a place or something? Is it like a sotra of teleport method?

Actually Yes! From what I have read anyway the spinning is like a teleport method, so think about going to, like I said the beach or somewhere pleasant with nothing that can harm you.

Ok when you bite your finger you can feel your finger and how it kind of hurts? In a dream it feels like your biting a spongy thing, like if your finger is numb and you try to bite it, or coming home from the dentist and poking your lip, kinda like that is a good example of spongyness.

Most of my dreams are in 3rd person, where I'm watching myself, though it often switches back and forth. If you're lucid you can try controlling the person/people you see by just your thoughts. If you see yourself, you know that they're you, so just imagine what you would do. In the process you may find yourself back in 1st person, who knows?

Also, with spinning, it's just a technique some people use to make things easier. If you're in an FA (thinking you've awoken, but in fact haven't), once you become lucid you can use spinning to, in a sense, blur your surroundings so that when you stop you'll be where you want to be. Some people also use spinning as a way to try and start flying. You can also use other techniques to go places or find things, such as walking through a door or around a corner or having someone bring you/it to it/you. You just have to know that it will work... and it will. Confidence is key.

I had a dream last night. I became luiced and then got so excited i jumped up............and out of bed....... Well, it was fun for the 30 seconds i was controlling my dream. I did atleast make a piece of paper float :D

Hey, i had a dream, where i got so mad in the dream, i woke up. And i was still mad for about an hour after i woke up. I thought that was funny and was wondering if that was normal?

Tonight i was in lucidity againYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. But when i relized it i tripped ,fell and woke up................... Had the felling of my heart skipping a beat and all. well, i was in lucid for about 10 mins!!!!!! I made a sandwatch appear and i tried to fly. But it was fun.

OK all, this is my last post on this fourm. I achived full lucidity for about 35 min. I spun around and all that stuff. THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING!!!!!!!!!
