The approaching Switch Off

Hello everyone, im new here, though i have been browsing the boards for a while. I had my first hint at there being something more to sleep when i was about 10, it wasn't so much a lucid dream but i woke up in my sleep, there was no dreaming going on, i was just stuck in my own mind thinking 'hey i want to get up and watch spider-man' but i couldn't because my body was still asleep.
Since then i've had a few strange experiences with dreams, sleep and the point of nodding off. Last year i started having problems with energy and became very tired all the time, i had trouble staying focused and keeping awake and when i got home in the afternoon i would end up dosing for maybe and hour/half hour. Its hard to describe but it was like drifting in and out of sleep. Now i know that people report auditory hallucinations in conjuction with paralysis and other such phenomena, i was wondering if that is actual voices coming from outside the body through the ears, or inside the mind? Cuz everytime i nod off in the afternoon i have voices in my mind, sometimes they may be of people i know and othertimes totally unknown, i am not thinking about these people or remembering them/imagining them says things, they just formulate of their own accord. Then in the summer i had a strange experience where i was in the dosing state, it was like someone or something entered my mind at a distance and then left, sort of brushed through, i can't really word it. I had my first experience with sleep paralysis about two months ago whilst using a hypnotic tape, i was relaxed with my eyes closed when all of a sudden it was like a gigantic black sheet was spread over the inside of my eyelids and from there it just hit me, i had a rush, uncontrolable shaking and the weight on my chest so often described. The few days after the experience i didn't remember to much but the about two week later and up until now i've managed to get an insight into what happened, after the first hit of paralysis i went into a lucid dream, i was on the street with two of my friends and i was just running around, i was so amazed that i could control my dream that it quickly ended. I thought that was it. After more thinking, i remember that night having several experiences of paraylsis, and it was almost like trying different doors in a fun house, everytime it hit me i was thinking 'i wonder where i will go next'. Which brings me to the conclusion that perhaps i had more than one lucid dream that night, or something else that the paralysis brought on?
Not sure what this post will mean to you all as im sure there are hundreds just like it, but i just wanted to introduce myself by sharing my experiences so far, thansk for reading, any comments would be appreciated and i look forward to posting on these boards!
