REM and my eye condition
I am very new to LD, but I have a very good question for you guys. I have a condition by the name of nystagmus. This is a condition in which makes my eyes involuntarely move. My friends repeatedly tell me that my eyes noticable move, and I have known about it all my life. The thing is, I cannot tell they are moving unless I am under extreme pressure or extreme thought. Now the question is, can this affect my REM stages of sleep? And if so is it a advantage or disadvantage?
Correct me if I am wrong, but REM literally mean that your eye moves in a rapid motion during this phase of sleep. Maybe I might have a much longer period of REM since my eyes are moving constantly.... Lets discuss !

umm.. *raises glass* heres hoping?
You know even blind people dream, depending on wither or not they were born blind or not. And maybe even blind at birth people dream? I really dont think a moving eye will make any difference, because your other eye might counteracT? and who knows when your sleeping, it might move the same?
any thoughts,
welcome to the site,
PM for any questions;)

I'm definitely no expert, but if your condition doesn't bother you normally, as in when you are awake, and it doesn't keep you up at night when you aren't trying to LD, it won't hurt anything. Although, it may make it more difficult to concentrate...
