I think that counts as a low level lucid.
Hey gok' It did indeed seem like a low level Lucid Dream. Its not bad to have those either. When something like that happened again you should try to do a reality check so you can gain more awareness.
reality checks dont seem to work too well for me lol. In a dream I had earlier someone turned round to me and shouted "youre dreaming" so I did a reality check (the nose one) and I couldnt breathe though my nose :( But ill keep at it, maybe one day a reality check will fail, like its supposed to in a dream
Maybe I have the definition of a lucid dream wrong but I think I've been doing it for a while. Everytime I have a dream and I realize it is a dream, it is pretty easy for me to manipulate it... when it is a positive dream that is. I love to fly so in my dreams i'll just think, ok great now I can make stuff appear and do lots of cool things. I usually just try really hard to fly and once I jump in the air a couple of times I can take off. It doesn't last for long but I can fly a couple hundred feet before landing. I can also make food and objects appear when I want them. I hope I don't sound stupid. I read through the defenitions of lucid dreams but I may have missed something (its alot of info)... if anyone reads this post, does it sound like I have lucid dreams?
Yeah, I think you were Lucid, but you prbably weren't able to control much. It happens. Keep doing whatever technique you used.
I agree that it was a low-level lucid.
As for the reality checks, I'd highly recommend doing at least two, just in case the first one doesn't work. Try looking at your watch a couple of times and see if the time changes. Or look down at your hands and see if there's anything different about them. You can also look around you and see if the way you see things is different, such as if everything is more clear or blurry or not where it's supposed to be.

yea, I normally do two reality checks but for some reason in the dream I didnt
