What's Lucid Dreaming like?
I couldn't find any other topics like this. So I've decided to make one.
When I dream (I'm told this is how everybody dreams.) I'm not in control, I may be in First Person, or I may be in Third Person. However, I'm a little confused, because I can't control my actions in dreams, I find it hard to do certain things. Last night I just learned about lucidity, and when I went to sleep at about two, I woke up at seven, I couldn't remember what I had dreamed about, despite using certain techniques that could help with recalling, or lucidity. When I woke up at about ten fifteen, I couldn't remember anything in that dream, except putting my hands in my pockets, and thinking "I'm not in a dream." then I woke up.
When I woke up, I could remember the first dream I had at two to seven. Like, the whole thing. Is that normal? I thought to myself 'I'm in a dream!' then I smiled and said Cool, and I had just switched to First Person view, and I woke up. Is that a bit of lucidity or what? Apperently, you can't even show a bit of emotion.
One thing I'm very curious about, what is a lucid dream like? Is it like real life? Only you know it's a dream? Or what? Do you just watch yourself do things? I'm a little confused about this whole aspect. Also, is what I did in my dreams normal or what? (Keep in mind that was my first attempt ever at lucidity. And the first time I could recall a dream in like, months.)
