Newbie saying hello :)
Just introducing myself because I like these forums so much and look forward to getting to contribute. The crowd here is so cool, and I think some people would be surprised by just how down to earth you guys all are. I personally don't remember how I found this site, but I was doing research on sleep paralysis and found my way here somehow. I've been experiencing sleep paralysis since I was a teenager (I'm 21 now) well before I knew what it was, and not until recently discovered that my exact experiences have been documented and reported. So naturally I'm excited to take it to the next level. I began using the methods described on this site and began reading some books on the subject. It's absolutely fascinating, and I'm progressing very fast. The only thing stopping me is I quickly reach a panic point at which I revert back, but I have very little educated experience on the matter, but a lot of experience with sleep paralysis (and I mean a lot!) and it's definitly given me a jump start
glad to get to meet u all, and I hope to get to contribute to the atmosphere. Take care, Merry Christmas and happy New Year :D

Welcome to Dream Views ( deja vu, eh?) I'm glad you like us. Most of us are very normal people. Naturally we have a few coo coo ones, but I am sure you'll be able to tell who they are soon enough. I look forwards to seeing you around.

What is this 'sleep paralysis'? I don't think I came across it in this website's tutorial guide.

It is when your body shuts down while your mind is still on. When you are asleep, your body does not move or act out things you do in your dream. Thus you are paralyzed. Some people stay paralyzed after they wake up or before they fall asleep.

Hmm. I always thought that, when I was a kid, twhen I 'opened my eyes really wide in my dream to wake up', it's because I'd eventually effect the 'real' me in my bed - causing my real eyes to open just a little.
Maybe it's something else. I'm still wondering why the sign of the cross waked me up. :P
"Oh lord, awake me form this frightening reality!" :|
