Newbie suggestions
Hey guys,
I'm a newbie and was wondering if someone could suggest a way to help me getting lucid in the fastest time. I have pretty good dream recall. I've also reviewed this site so I'm informed somewhat about what I should be doing. I've started writing down my dreams and am looking for patterns (signs). So far I havent found any. I have tried the different techniques described although I'm not sure if I've been doing them correctly. Also, I have that brainwave generator program if anyone is familiar with that. Anyway, I have a very positive attitude towards this and feel that I have a lot of potential. Hopefully, I will be able to be lucid soon although I understand that it could take a while. Any suggestions as to what technique I should use as a beginner? Thanks guys

So you want to become a doctor in a day huh? Like you said yourself slow down the best results come in time. One step at a time. Stop looking for a fast find and your experience will be twice as good.

the best technique is perseverace/diligence.
:) i know that's probably not what you want to hear, but there really is no 'shortcut' to lucid dreaming. the good news is you are well on your way with recalling dreams and keeping a DJ-write in it consistently-
getting to this stage usually takes the longest time for beginners, so the hardest part is out of the way.
as far as techniques go, i wouldn't recommend spending much effort on the more advanced ones-WILD for instance-.
most beginners find that the WBTB method offers the best results, or MILD. you probably want to concentrate on those. if you have any questions, just PM me or a dreamguide (the people with light green avatar borders)
other than that, stay positive, don't get apathetic, and you could LD tonight, or three weeks from now. but as long as you put some effort in, you will LD.
believe me, its worth it ;)

umm didn't i just say that
(combined posts)
i'm sorry not tech enough
Now i know why i left some people, They thought that they know it all and repeat in words the same thing you just said. Well doesn't that suck.
all i can say is one step at a time after 20+ years i know that as a fact.

Well, sometimes if someone phrases it differently more can be gleaned from the same advise. (And I don't mean to be rude, but there's an edit button if you want to add to your post.)

LD
Wow...I had LD already. Unfortunately it didn't last long though. Right when it started I woke up. At first I thought it might have been because I was excited, but then I realized that my roomate was using the sink and I think thats what actually woke me up. Damn him!!!
