1st/3rd person views.
I have come to assume, that when people talk about imagining objects, looking at your watch (reality checks), and doing various things... that you are infact talking about this in the 1st person.
Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
I have trouble with this, I usually think of myself in the 3rd person when I imagine things. For instance, in a VID, lets take Pedro's for example. I would see a whole room, with me and a friend in it, and see myself looking at my watch.
This creates a problem, as by looking at myself looking at my watch, I do not actually see the watch.
Does anyone else think in the 3rd person like myself? or have suggestions on my problem?
Thanks.

Lots of people have dreams in the 3rd person. Its noraml. I switch back and forth. You can still do reality checks every time you see something 3rd person. That coudl be better then looking at a clock for you.

i second barbizzle's suggestion. do a reality check everytime you find yourself viewing things from the third person. the fact that you're even viewing things this way (if you're actually in a dream) could be an excellent trigger for lucidity.
also, try to 'possess' your body when you find yourself looking at a scene this way, and then look at your watch in the first person. i realize this could be tricky, but its helped me when my mind starts leaning towards third person perception. it helps if you imagine your third person awareness is a camera, and you 'zoom in'

Wow, okay.
I never thought of it like that, I will differenitly take what you have said in consideration. The fact I am viewing from a 3rd person perspective sounds like it could be a good trigger once I realise it.
Thanks.
