Recalling/inducing a semi-forgotten dream

I've had a dream that I really like. It involves a character(s) I like and I know in real life but I cannot remember what it was about! Every now and then the sensation resurfaces but when I try to pick it apart, its pulled further away from me. I can only wait until the 'sense of the dream' returns to me for a split second. I would like to induce this dream but I only know that it is about a mixture of two people I know in real life... Are there any tricks any of you experts know of recalling forgotten dreams?

I know when something happens like that to me, i can recall more detials of the dream as I am in bed gettign ready for sleep. so try recalling yoru dream when your in bed.
