Thanks for your replies! "Breaking the ice" is usually the hardest part, so it's nice to feel welcomed.
Justme, you asked me how I found out about lucid dreaming. It was sort of a "coincidence" (if there is such thing as a coincidence - that is a whole different debate). I was looking for something else on the internet and came across something interesting on dreams and then you know how it is - you just click and click and click on the links and so I clicked myself to the site on lucid dreaming. I've never heard about that before, I didn't know something like that was possible. I've always had a lot of dreams and didn't have any problems with dream recall, but I don't remember having lucid dreams prior to that. Reading about lucid dreams really shook me. I remember it fascinated me so much that within ten days I had my first LD. I didn't even try, I didn't even start to think about all the techniques, it just happened all by itself.
I experienced sleep paralysis many times as a kid, I remember that. It was scary and I learned to wake myself up from it. Now of course I'm not scared of it, I use it to get out of my body. It's a shame it doesn't happen all that often any more.
It seems that as children we have so much potential in us. And if society would just support what you already have we would all be masters of our dreams by now and hence of this reality as well!
So, how did you start with LDing and how is it going now?
