Hi :) !
I am a 47 years old French male. I did some interesting lucid dreams, but the last one was years ago. I hope to have lucid dreams again :) ! I am happy to find a community about lucid dreams, here.
I am thinking to buy a REM-Dreamer. Any one has some experience with it?

It seems to me that general and proper work from the techniques has provided for better results than that of any of the REM devices.
I could be wrong.
There are other things beside just nova dreamer too, not really sure which one best but found this.

Graph a little more halfway down I havent really tryed any of these, and maybe try lding narturally kindof first? Maybe your actually be very good at it after like a week and don't need no machine. :D
i bought a novadreamer about a year ago. by that time i was already maintaining a dream journal and thinking about lucid dreaming pretty often during the day. i was having some success with WTBB on weekends, but wanted more. i remember that initially it worked a treat and my lucid dreaming episodes skyrocketed; however you must keep in mind the motivation one develops after one has shelled out that kind of money! also i was working on the other stuff - eg: reality checks etc. which you ned to do quite often with the novadreamer. those were days when i literally lived to dream - ahem - just highlighting the motivation i had in cased i havent stressed it enough already.
to cut a long story short - i tried to cheat, by stopping reality tests and just putting the goggles on in the night and my LD's just fizzled away. later i started wearing the goggles whilst maintaining a dream diary, but for some reason the dang things wouldnt stay on my face even with the mildest settings ( they have the least chance of waking you up accidentally). i concluded that i was actually ripping it off my face in the night because i found them uncomfortable.
at the moment they're just lying there, but ive decided to resurrect them after discovering this forum - mindful of my early success. i reckon if i could become comfortable with them again then it could work.
my conclusion - novadreamers, good if you have money to burn. on the other hand too many variables and individual factors. i would have to use it long term before i can make up mind - was it just the whole excitement of buying an expensive dream gadget that triggered of a spate of LD's or is it something more?
maybe you can buy one and cut some losses by selling on ebay if you are dissappointed.
Hi! Welcome to to the forum! If you are interested in LDs, you have definately come to the right place! As Howetzer has already said, using techniques in the proper fashion combined with a little hard work is most likely more effective than an expensive gadget, but who knows? You bring about a good point. Most of these devices were made in an attempt to shortcut the process. So it is not so ironic that it made you lazy in your attempts.
ya thats a valid point too.
im giving it another go. used it tonight, but have not been practising reality testing or dream journalling dilligently - so it will take me a bit to get up to scratch. i dont see how la berge could have controlled for the massive 'placebo' effect that a device like this can generate - at least initially. this symbolically alone is sufficient to amp ones intent and focus.

I understand that proper techniques are the best way, and that we can't only count on a device to make LD. I just hope the device will accelerate results. And while it is far from free, the rem-dreamer is not very expensive (127 euros, about $153, http://www.remdreamer.com/about.htm).
But as I am a little reluctant to buy something that I never saw from and unknown compagny in Poland, it would be nice to hear from someone knowing the Rem-Dreamer

I am happy to have found this place ;) .
