Hello to Everyone
This is my first post. I think this site is so cool because ever since I was about seven (I guess) I have been able to not only recall my dreams but I learned to control them once I could realize that I "was" dreaming. I am 45 today and I have vivid dreams everytime I sleep. Some so emotionally real that it can take me days to get over them. I have had dreams within dreams within dreams, "thats wierd". I have flown, died, killed, walked though walls, and my favorite is to wake and then return to the same dream I left.
After I found this site last night, (I work third shift), I read someones advise on how to initiate a lucid dream. Well when i got home I slept for a couple hours on the couch and then my wife woke me to get in the bed. When I did I concentrated on the fact that I was dreaming, that this is a dream and I tried to picture myself at work. It worked perfect the first time, the movie in my mind started and the fuzzy picture became sharp and the whole time I knew I was dreaming "from the begining". I then awoke and tried the same technic again except this time I ended up somewhere other then work and it was scarey, yet i knew i was dreaming and that it was my mind creating the scene, unusual as it was. The third attempt work as well as the first, I was a work again and did as I pleased without any problems.

Welcome to Dream Views, Walter Allen. :) That's great that you were able to initiate lucidity after simply being reminded. I've experimented with dream re-entry when I was younger but have currently been unable to accomplish that again. But each person is different.
Anyway, we are glad that you have joined us and I look forward to hearing more about your experiences! Let us know if you need anything.
