Nononono.... look, Tom, I'm not arguing with you beliefs or anything, and you seem like a really nice (hehehe... if not TOO nice) guy, and welcome to the forums, GLAD TO HAVE YOU!Quote:

I especially do not need people to agree with my beliefs. I Love me and am fully comfortable in who I choose to be right now. So if anyone wants to hate me then go ahead and hate me, I will still love you! :D
But I think you misunderstand. I'm joking... you see, the whole "fear-love" thing which you were going on about is EXACTLY like the character Jim Cunningham from Donnie Darko, one of my favourite films, and I was just sitting here, cracking up... couldn't help myself, still can't! hehehehe... the "fucking antichrist" thing was a Donnie Darko quote, which I used on you as a joke, getting at the resemblance...
Look, I wasn't meaning to be hostile, sorry if it came off that way, I was just poking a bit of fun... Seriously, welcome to the forums.
Look, HONESTLY, welcome to the forums.
BTW: What part of Britain you from?
Yes that is indeed a pillow hahahaha
Hey Blue Meanie, it is completely OK. I am happy regardless of what people think of me. It is not even an issue. I was saying that it doesn't matter if people like me or not I am still going to be friendly with them.
But anyway it is fine, don't worry about it, man. We are all perfect. Also I see how you love that film. :D
Hey I would love to be your friend anyway, man.
I live in Essex, right near london. East of London. It is a very.......... interesting...... area. hahah
Oh and I loooooooooooooooooooooooooove New Zealand. Well I have never been there but I certainly have learned about it. My sister went there for a while and I use to have a teacher from there too. It sounds like a really amazing place. I can't wait to go. My girl friend and I always have said that one day we shall live there together :D :D
Oh... see, personally, I REALLY can't stand NZ. Britain's home for me, I got citizenship and evertything.Quote:

See, NZ is NICE, and has great scenery, and is laid-back... but our politics SUCK, we have little to no cultural depth or history, and since I'm a history major, that's really important. Britain's where my roots are, britain feels like home, even though I've only ever been there for like a month. Meh. That's just my opinion though...
Yeah I know, alot of people from America love england because of it's history. However if you come to london you see just how distant English people are compared to other people in the world. I am not making a judgement I am just pointing out a fact that people in london really don't like to talk, they have a very hard time communicating. You are luckey to find even a single person that says 'hello' when walking past you in the street.
In other parts of England it is quite different. If you got to small towns up north and in the more open and spiritual west country you find very friendly people.
I understand why, it seems that in the huge city there is just too much and too many people, it seems that the more 'stuff' and the more people there are around the harder it is to communicate. People do not feel like a community as they do in small towns and villages.
Thay is why everyone should go to london and spread some joy and loooooooooooveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D :D :D :sunflower: :aphiusiscrazy:
It's pretty much the same way in America. Small towns == friendlier people.Quote:

Yeah, look, I totally agree. I've been to London. Londoners are fucking miserable shits, really they are.Quote:

My favourite places in Britain:
Kendal and the Lakes District
The borderlands between Scotland and England, up in the hills... other than the people, the borderlands have a lovely, desolate beauty about them...
Around about the border between England and Wales... basically anything in the black country area. That's where my mother's family are from.
Edinburgh <-my favourite city in the WORLD.... SO great. Freezing cold, gothic (revival?)architecture, friendly people... brilliant.
Look, london's a lovely city. But... yeah. The people suck.
Hello Tom_Peace!
The London underground is perhaps the worst place for this. It's so depressing down there.Quote:

TygrHawk, yeah I know. I found that too. But still New york is more friendly than london.
Bloody hell!!!! I Looooooooooooooooooooove the Lake district, one of my favourite places ever. SO nice. I Love the little medieval (I believe) town of Ambleside and lake windermere. Ooooooooooo and walking from Ambleside over the mountains pass to the lake and on to the little village of Grasmere. A most Beautiful part of England. Very nice people there too!Quote:

They are beautiful pictures, man. That brings back some great memories. I rememeber standing on top on one of those mountains and these jet fighter planes were flying about lower than we were so we could look down on them abit. And finding a lost goat in all thes ferns on the side of the mountain lookin down on Grasmere, we tried to help it back up to the top.
Anyway great picture!
Oh... like, wow, dude. These are... some flippin grat pictures. I especially like the second to bottom one, that rockfield...Quote:

I'm feeling homesick now... carp, I want to go back to Britain. NZ sucks...
I must say, one great thing about England is the chocolate. Best in the world I feel. :D
If you're talking about Cadbury, we get it too. Pretty much anywhere in the commonwealth gets it I think. And yeah, it IS good.Quote:

I'm always continually amazed that america doesn't have anything that even remotely passes as decent as far as chocolate goes... hmph...
Hey, we have Cadbury too!
Pffft... American Cadbury's not as good.Quote:

Cadbury is like Guinness... though it's supposed to be the same stuff, it differs depending on where you go. Made under license, yada yada yada... For instance, the WORSE guinness I ever had was in singapore. The best was in England... duh... NZ/Oz guinness is pretty good, not as good as good ol' authentic Irish guinness like ya get in the UK tho...
Ah a beer drinker. I went through my time when I was younger, drinking fine ales and bitters. I Choose not to do that anymore. I have more fun when I am in contol of my self. I do however eat chocolate ohhhhhhh yes, lots of chocolate hahaha. I love Ferrero Rocher and Krause's, neither of which are english in the slightest hahaha. You know what, I have thought about it and decied that indeed there is great chocolate in many different countires, not just England!
Understand the not drinking thing. Look, before last chrsitmas I went for nearly two years without drinking. I don't particularly like the effects either, but I LOVE the taste of a good ale or stout.Quote:

I always wanted to try medieval ale, i think it is suppose to be sweeter as it doesn't use hops, I am not fully sure. I did make some great sweet beers with my dad a few years back. Home brewing and all that. I enjoyed the taste too. I once had this non alcoholic malt drink, very nice but too fizzy. I could still make that by just boling up the grains but not allowing it to ferment. I do enjoy the malty taste. But stil the effects of alcohol are enough for me not to drink any more beer.
