Hey there and welcome to the forum!!
What I would recommend is that you keep yourself a Dream Journal, and check out the tutorials as well to help yourself get started.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Sid, Remiel, Silencer.... lemme just give you an official staff

Great to have you all on board with us! Definitely check out our tutorial section as well as taking a gander over at some of the lucid experiences others have had already.

You'll find that keeping a dream journal is pretty important early on, however, it can be quite difficult to keep up with for some. Just keep at it, even if it's just a few sentences per night.

Another thing you may try is taking a few minutes to surf the site right before going to bed. I have heard it has helped other members mentally prepare for the night and get them "psyched up" for the trip into dreamland!

Good luck and I'm lookin forward to hearing about your lucid experiences... whether YOU like it or not!!

Good advice! The dream journal is essential to recognizing patterns and dreamsigns to help you attain lucidity.

And doing something dream- or sleep-related before bed makes a big difference. I like to read EWOLD before bed.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! Good luck and have fun guys!
