was this a LD?
so i'v bin trying to have a lucid dream for about 4 days and last night i had a dream that ghosts where chaseing me and i realized that ghosts whern't real and remembered what i read about LDs so i turned around and hit one and it shattered, and i instantly woke up. so it sounds like i got to exited from haveing a LD and woke up from that but the whole dream was in thierd person (i was watching myself) and i dont remember haveing any control over the dream it felt as if me hitting the ghost and thinking about LDs was part of the plot of the dream.

If at any time you realized it was a deream while you were in it, then it was a lucid dream!
Please feel free to llok around and please ask any questions or PM anyone you like!

Welcome to the forum! :welcome:
Like Seeker said, if you realized you were actually dreaming at any point in this dream, it would be considered lucid.
But understand that there is a difference between being lucid and having control. Sometimes people can control their dreams without actually being lucid, and sometimes you can be lucid and not be able to control anything.
There are different levels of lucidity, which are a bit different for everyone. You may have experienced a low-level LD where you realized you were dreaming, but couldn't really control anything.
Many people get excited when they realize they are dreaming and wake up right away. There are a ton of threads that discuss this particular problem (do a search and you'll see!). Basically what the advice is, is that once you become lucid, don't try anything until you stabilize the dream - some people look at their hands, or lean against a wall and take a little time to relax before doing anything else in the dream.
Anyway, keep up the good work! :)
