      Rude Awakenings

Im now on my 6th night on my quest for lucidity and still making good process with recall. This morning I was awakened by thunder and the blinding light of the sun, I seriouly thought we were being bomed. As soon as I woke up my heart was racing. I still went to sleep after it so once i woke up the second time I questioned whether I had a false awakening earlier, but my roomate assured me I did not and that i was really worried. The thing is I know that I was dreaming all night but I belive when I was woken up that way I forgot all of them.

Did I forget all my dreams because of this "Rude Awakening"? Has this happend to anyone before?

When startled out of sleep, I will often "lose" my dreams. I think it is the result of something demanding my attention right when I wake, breaking the link to the dream memories.

When this happens, if I just try to remember ANY detail, the rest will often come back. This often happens after getting up and grabbing a cuppa joe, then relaxing into a semi-meditative state in an effort to recall.
