Hey there, massive community you have here, seems like my introduction into the world of LDs will be a plesant one. My familly is relativly spiritually "developed", with myself on the lagging end, and after a few attempts I find myself with no recall of any dearms what so ever. Does anyone have any particularly succesful methods of actually becoming aware of a dream, outside of the standard mental preparation? Thanks and I look forward to becoming an active member of this community. :thanks:

To recall your dreams, I would seriously recommend keeping a Dream Journal, as that will boost recall. And you may also want to check out the tutorials section as well!

Welcome to the forum, man.
Well your question depends on a lot, really. What kind of sleeping patterns do you have? How much sleep a night? Are you a deep sleeper? Things like that. One thing that might help you is to check up on REM cycles; how long they last, how often they come on, things like that. If you have an alarm clock, try setting it at what would be on or toward the end of one of your REM cycles. That way, you stand a good chance of waking up during or after a dream. Couple that with the mental intention to really recall the dream, and you should be in business.
Also, and probably most importantly, most things having to deal with dreaming (as with anything psychological) can take time. Patience is crucial.
