Dream Journal problems
ok so i havn't had any success yet with LD, but thats ok cause i havn't been putting a big effort to it. my problem is, are you supposed to keep a dream journal every morning? i don't really have time to do this in during the week in the morning. in general, what are some ways i can practice LD without ruining/depriving myself of sleep?

Keeping a dream journal doesn't deprive one of that much sleep.
It's just a matter of writing down the dream and if you can wake up at least 5 minutes earlier than you need to (5 minutes isn't much of a price for lucid dreaming) you'll be able to write down even the most detailed dreams. If for some other reason you just really don't have the time to write down much then wake up and jot down a few keywords at least.
The point of keeping a dream journal is getting into a habit of putting effort into recalling dreams and to become familiar with one's dreams. Dream journals often allow to look back into past dreams and find similarities, dream signs, etc.
All these benefits come simply from keeping a journal and as stated above it can be done in any amount of detail really as long as you really put effort into recalling dreams.
