Hi, I'm new here, and have a question

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this board, and LDing in general. I got into LDing thanks to TV. In particular, after watching an episode of 'Star Trek Voyager', where the crew was LDing. Before that, I knew about it because I saw on the TV series "Beyond 2000" a device that induces LDs.

So far, I've only had one LD (about a month ago), which happened after reading Berg's book and checking out this forum.

My question is this:

Must LDs occur at least 5 hours after one sleeps? Because I've been trying to LD at the beginning of my sleep. I go to sleep around 11pm ish, thinking to myself "1, I am dreaming... 2, I am dreaming... 3, I am dreaming..." and so on, but so far no luck (I get bored and think about something else). My first LD occured in the morning, after I had awaken, then fallen asleep again.

You kinda sound like a newb too hehe..

Your trying to do a wild with that method. Look in the tutorial section for more about wilds. In general, a lucid dream, wild or not can occur anytime during sleep. The morning IS the best time for it considering the REM cycles are shorter and you are dreaming more vividly then. Also, if you are doing a wild, it IS much easier to do it in the morning (according to many sources).[/url]

Most of my LDs happen after 4-6 hours of sleep. The only WILD i've had occurred after 8 good hours of sleep.

Hey Jay welcome buddy.

My LD's were not influenced by anything at all.. Im natural I've been able to have LD's since I was a child.. For a long time I thought I was the only one in the World that could do it..

No, i think i was thinking about Star Trek at the time.
But you do know your incubus, or rather you have had it for dinner! HAHA.
that is a GREAT SONG...i've been singing it ALL DAY today though

...i woke up on the wrong side of the bed today...
